INTRODUCTION<\/strong>
On February 1, 1979, the Antioch Fire Testing Laboratory of Warnok Hersey International Inc. conducted the \u201cStandard Fire Endurance and Lose Stram Tests\u201d according to ASTM E-119 (1976) at the Covington Brothers IMPAC panel\u2026
\u2026The test panel was subjected to a 123-minute fire resistance test followed by a standard hose stream test while sustaining a live load of 1,200 pounds per linear foot. After the hose stream test was completed, the panel was subjected to double the live load of 2,400 pounds per linear foot.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The fire resistance portion of the test continued for 2 hours and 3 minutes. At that point, the test was completed, and the assembly was prepared for the Standard Hose Stream Test. A hose stream was delivered for 2 minutes and 42 seconds at 30 psi. During the first 20 seconds of the hose test, the exposed face plaster coating fell off the panel, exposing the cement stucco. None of the cement stucco was removed from the assembly. No water penetrated the test assembly.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

CONCLUSIONS<\/strong>
As demonstrated in this test, the Covington Impact PANEL system, using 7\/8\" thick cement stucco faces and 1\/2\" of lightweight plaster added to both faces, resisted the passage of heat for a period of over two hours. The system will resist the passage of flames or hot gases for this period while sustaining a design load of 1,200 lbs per linear foot. In addition, the system will withstand the action of a standard hose stream after such exposure for two hours based on ASTM Standard E-119 \"Standard Methods of Fire Test for Building Construction and Materials.\"<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
