Covintec

11 Steps

La forma más fácil, rápido, ligero, resistente y termoacústico de construir

Step 1

FOUNDATION SLAB

Pour 10 cm thick concrete template reinforced with electro-welded mesh.

  • Level the ground.

  • Compact with tepetate.

  • Place polypropylene as insulation.

  • Place electro-welded mesh.

  • Prepare sanitary facilities.

  • Strain and cure.

Note: The foundation may change based on the specific project.

Step 2

COVINTEC WALL ASSEMBLY

  •  Join the Covintec walls with three annealed wire ties on both sides.
  • Install internal and external corner screens at all corners and secure with three wire ties.
  • In the joints or cuts that we make to the Covintec and that do not have Self-assembly, install joining meshes and also secure with three wire ties.

Step 3

ASSEMBLY OF THE COVINTEC QUALYLOSA

• Join the Qualylosa Covintec with wire every 40 cm on both sides.
• Reinforce the joint by generating self-assembly every 30 cm.
• Install union meshes where there is no self-assembly.

Step 4

DOORS AND WINDOWS

•Draw the outline of doors and windows using a marker, cut out the Covintec structure and place the Zig-Zag mesh reinforcements on both sides using staples or wire.

Step 5

Installation

The electrical and plumbing installations are placed inside the Covintec System structure, removing the necessary polystyrene with heat.

Note: For 4" pipes, cut the upper structure of the Oualylosa, respecting the thick steel of the lower bed and reinforce the sectioned part with mesh.

Step 6

ALIGNMENT AND ANCHORING OF THE COVINTEC SYSTEM

  • Align: Place Covintec alignment rules and fasten Covintec to the wall 60 cm from the foundation slab upwards and 10 cm from the top of the wall downwards.

  • install: Place the Covintec Qualylosa with the thick steel facing down in the direction of the short span.

  • Plumb line: Place wire ties every meter at the vertex of the Covintec with the Qualylosa to prevent them from moving.

  • Moor: Fix the corner meshes with ties every 40 cm at the vertex of the Covintec wall with the Qualylosa and reinforce with AE every 30 cm.

  • Anchor: Fix the Covintec walls to the foundation using Covintec anchors every 40 cm.

Step 7

PLASTERING OF WALLS

Ensure before flattening:

  • That all walls are perfectly aligned and plumb.

  • That we have AE ties every 30 cm including corner meshes and joining meshes.

  • No wire knots or mesh protrude from the surface of the Covintec.

  • Keep the floor free of wires and general trash.

  • Take care of the quality of the sand.

  • Moisten the sand the day before.

  • Use microfiber or additives in specific cases.

  • Use stamp or grit for the first application.

  • Use pozzolanic cement in coastal areas.

Step 8

SUPPORTING QUALYLOSA COVINTEC

Once the Covintec Qualylosas have been tied to the walls with all the electrical and plumbing installations and with all the joining meshes, corners and the AE complete, the godmothers and struts are placed every 90 cm of separation, leaving the counter-arrow at the centre of the span, see table.

Step 9

CONCRETE CASTING IN QUALYLOSA COVINTEC

Once the Qualylosa Covintec has been supported, we proceed to pour the concrete compression layer with a resistance f 'c = 200 kg/cm2 of the thickness according to the span, see table.

Step 10

CEILING FLATTENING

After having completely removed the formwork, apply a 1 cm layer of mortar and sand in a 1:2 ratio, which is equivalent to one bag of mortar and 4 cans of sand.

Step 11

FINISHES ON THE COVINTEC SYSTEM

Once the 2.3 cm thick plastering on each side on walls and 1 cm on ceilings is finished, we recommend applying Stucco Covintec as a final finish indoors and outdoors to obtain the best quality of work, only with Covintec.
